Partners for Livable Omaha releases RFP for Omaha Mobile Stage

Partners for Livable Omaha (Livable Omaha), which created and operates the Omaha Mobile Stage (OMS) program, announces its fifth and final performance season in 2026.

Livable Omaha is exiting the live performing arts space to concentrate its resources on its housing program, OurStory Small Houses.

As part of this transition, Livable Omaha seeks qualified parties interested in acquiring the OMS assets and continuing the OMS program under new ownership.

OMS began in 2021 as an ambitious idea during the pandemic. “We wanted to see performing artists and live entertainment workers earning income during a very stressful time for the industry,” said Jessica Scheuerman, executive director of Partners for Livable Omaha.

The program has grown over four seasons into a nationally recognized mobile venue that has delivered nearly 100 free public events, showcased more than 700 performances, reached over 50,000 community members in person, and paid over $250,000 to creative workers across the Omaha metro. Along the way, Omaha Mobile Stage has earned four national design awards and, more importantly, the trust and enthusiasm of families, artists, and neighborhoods who have made it their own.

Omaha Mobile Stage is running its fifth and final season under Livable Omaha until June 30, 2026, including the regional Youth Talent Show Series and Battle of the Bands showcase.

"We're excited that our first designbuild project has matured as a state-of-the-art mobile venue and audio engineering training program that is ready for acquisition," Scheuerman said. "We are looking for a buyer who can build on our momentum.”
