Request for Proposals
Acquisition and/or Operation of Omaha Mobile Stage
Partners for Livable Omaha (Livable Omaha), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, seeks qualified parties interested in acquiring the Omaha Mobile Stage (OMS) assets and/or continuing the OMS program under new ownership.
This is an open and competitive process.
Bidders can submit proposals for any category of asset – stage box and truck, audio equipment, or intellectual property – or bid for all assets to be acquired together.
All assets are sold as-is. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend the Open House to see items in person.
All proposals will be scored by an independent, third-party panel.
Background
Omaha Mobile Stage is a unique mobile performance venue. Its current service area includes the cities of Omaha, Papillion, La Vista, Fremont, Lincoln and Council Bluffs, and the metro’s nearby rural communities.
Livable Omaha, which created and operated OMS, is exiting the live performing arts space in order to concentrate resources on its housing program.
As part of this transition, Livable Omaha seeks qualified parties interested in acquiring the OMS assets and/or continuing the OMS program under new ownership.
From 2022 through 2025, the OMS program:
Paid more than $250,000 to creative workers, including event planners and managers, audio engineers, stagehands, and professional artist stipends
Provided paid internships to 23 aspiring audio engineers
Provided free arts enrichment and entertainment to 53,500+ visitors at 96 free events in the Omaha metro
Hosted more than 705 unique performances that featured more than 460 individual adult performers and more than 710 individual youth performers
Received 4 national design awards
